Philanthropy plays a major role in helping Kaleida Health maintain its facilities and advance world-class programs and services through modern technology, comfortable surroundings, research and education.  

For example, recent donations to the Foundation have provided more than $6.6 million in funding to assist with the update and expansion of Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital.  A $4 million investment helped to outfit the surgical units at both Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital and Buffalo General Medical Center with Robotic Surgery equipment. A $1 million contribution funded important programs and services at the Amherst and Tonawanda Senior Day Care locations. The Visiting Nurses Association received a contribution for support services and education programs for their at-home client services. An additional $1 million is invested in equipment upgrades throughout the Kaleida system annually.
